Wallace M. "Doc" O'Brien Community Improvement Grant
This annual grant is provided by the Rochester Lions Club to honor the memory of one of its storied deceased members, Dr. Wallace M. O'Brien, who believed that "Service is the rent we pay for our time on earth." As an organization, Lions International uses the motto – "We serve" – and every local club embraces this same motto for its use. It is in this spirit that the Rochester Lions Club is offering an annual grant of $2,000 to a deserving local non-profit organization that best articulates how they would use the grant money to further the well being of individuals in the greater Rochester area.
